Nissan Cube Specifications & Review

The Nissan Cube was designed with a view of making a car which was not large, and suited for the middle income segment. Today, the Nissan Cube has versions which are sold across Japan, USA and Europe. Although introduced in the year 1998, the Cube continues to be sold with modifications that are designed to incorporate better facilities and performance. The latest version of the Cube that we see on the roads today is the 2008 model.

The latest version of the Cube retains its original design, but incorporates a more rounded exterior which gives it a smoother look. Intended to seat five passengers, the interiors and well appointed and aim to give a comfortable and casual feel.

The windows in the front are oval in shape, and its interiors are more ornate. There are details which are apparent around the headliner, on the covers of the speaker and also in the cup holders of the car. There are also several personalised fittings which can be made available on request.

The car has a front wheel drive and is driven using a 1.5L HR engine which has 16 valves. The models made for sale in America have a 1.8L four cylinder engine as opposed to the 1.6 petrol version in Europe. The car normally gives an average of about 20 kilometres to a litre.

Lots of people believe the car is youthful and fun, and has a distinct Japanese look and feel to it. Others tend to dislike its looks and also believe that its performance is far from desirable. All in all, this car seems to pack in mixed reviews and feedback.
